YAY!!!!! ONTO to MOI!!!!!

More good news today!

I am in step # 12 of the Process.  Here is what left to do :  (2 steps counting this one I am currently in) Can't believe I am actually saying 2 steps left! )

MOI:  GLA will apply for Kimberlie's  Haitian passport.  This is a 2 step process – Studying the application at the office of the Minister of Interior and finalization and printing the passport at the Immigration department.  In MOI the passport application is studied and approved, and in printing, it is exactly that, the printing of the passport.  The majority of time spent in this stage is in MOI. (This step is taking 4-5 weeks)

Then it goes to US Immigration

Then my paperwork is submitted to USCIS for I600 approval. Next Kimberlie will be assigned an Visa appointment interview date. (Yes, she will go to the US Embassy for the interview) Once I get the Visa interview date, GLA will most likely give me possible travel dates to go and pick her up =) A few days after the interview, her Visa is issued. There is one last letter required from IBESR to travel home.  (This is taking about 6 weeks) I am hoping August will be our Gotcha month.

After the Airport (Post from Another Blog)

There are so many blogs on the web for adoptive families to read... Jen Hatmaker is an author of one such blog.  It's a very thoughtful, funny blog.  This post is well worth the read.
